CRS - but then we got Le High

A blog like this seems to be the perfect spot to talk/rant about new locations, both in advance, and after the fact. Those articles will be shorter, generally, and between a location article, a potential deck showcase article on stuff I play, and some other article, that'll be enough for me to write.

I'll kick things off with "after the fact" by talking about this week's featured location, Camp *Punsworth* Lehigh. Because i now have more articulated thoughts than "boring".

With that - let's snap.

Since I'm only starting this series now, here's the recap of my hot take as the Quantum Realm locations were revealed:
"Huh. Looks boring? Like The Hub, but less."

Now, after a day of playing with it, I have a more articulated take on this location:
1.) Yes, it looks boring, but compared to the polarising tiltfest that was Quantum Tunnel or Altar of Death - that's a good thing.
2.) It is the Hub, but less. Which is good, because less variance means better predictability. See, The Hub can give you Agatha (as can Agent 13). Camp Lehigh can't, which is a good thing. You have a lot better of an idea of what you can get - it's only 43 cards. And the number of complete duds boils down to Black Cat, Lady Sif, Patriot, and Sauron. Sure, some more are good mostly in specific decks (say, Vulture), but that's still a playable card in roughly 75% of the cases.
3.) What can happen is, for example, getting King when you run Aero (and who doesn't). Or get a second mystique for your Cerebro or Devil Dinosaur (they won't be ready). Or a Cerebro allows you to switch your gameplan. Or a Silver Surfer, y'know. Worst case, it's discard fodder.

Farewell, and remember, it's all fun and games until Scarlet Snitch gets le high.
