But that's not what this is about. In the articles labelled "Creativitymachine", I will post that which my mind cranks out, and it's pretty active at that. And it's not necessarily Warmachine only. Not that I am a good designer, but my reckoning is that most of the things I come up with range from "not too far-fetched" to "kinda plausible, needs testing".
What I'll present to you today is Commander Adept Heironymus Jackson.
But it may be best to rehash the old M&tM issue this series is based on.
With that out of the way, let's proceed
Commander Magus Heironymus Jackson
SPD STR MAT RAT DEF ARM CMD FOC
5 11 7 6 12 18 8 5
Damage: as Ironclad, [C] swapped for [B]
Warjackpoints: +6
Base: Large
Abilities:
- Immunity: Electricity
- Man in the Machine (as Karchev)
- Arcanoeletric Powergrid: Each turn, Jackson either gains +1 focus or +2 STR and electroleap on his melee weapons
- Power Converter: Jackson can spend 1 Focus during his activation to allocate 1 Focus to each jack within his CTRL area that was not allocated Focus this turn.
Feat: Interference Signal
For one round, while within Jackson's CTRL area, enemy units cannot give or receive orders, enemy warcasters/-locks pay double Focus/Fury to upkeep or cast spells, Warjacks spend 1 additional Focus for all actions requiring Focus and Warbeasts build up 1 additional Fury for all actions building up Fury.
Weapons:
2x Open Fist (P&S 14)
1x Lightning Coil (12", POW 14, RoF 3)
Spells:
Befuddle (hit enemy model - move it)
Calamity (+2 to hit & damage offensive buff)
Perdition (damage model - move battlegroup model full advance)
Warpath (friendlies kill unfriendly - move battlegroup model up 3" once)
Diminish (unfriendlies -2 Str while within 2")
In all honesty, I have no idea if this works, and he looks kinda skornergetic, being able to position his battle group a lot, but lacking the focus for massed jacks - even though power converter could do that to a degree. Maybe I'll field him in a Creativitymachine battle against Arides. As for the Model, a magnetized Ironclad, using both open fists, would do fine for that purpose.
I'd guess I'd run him with this at 35:
Jackson (+6)
- Lancer (*0)
- Centurion (9)
- Thunderhead (12)
Stormblade Infantry (5)
Stormsmith Stormtower (2)
Squire (2)
Strangeways (2)
Journeyman Warcaster (3)
It's probably the choice of DJ Thunder here that really cuts into the points, but it looks like it'd be fun. Now I just need to get Arides to create a Khadoran Warcaster based of off Olivia Armstrong, and we could go for it!
